VANCOUVER--Fans of both spiritual and secular music are in for a treat as Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Coquitlam continues to fill its sanctuary with quality performers for its concert series.

The Joan West Memorial Concert Series benefits is aimed to benefit youth who will be attending 2011 World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain this summer from Aug. 16th to 21.

The concert will feature instrumental and choral music. Performances range from Violinist Peter Weinkam to a chamber choir performing show tunes and popular music conducted by award-winning conductor Tony Araujo.

Season’s pass tickets are available for $50 or tickets can be purchased individually for $20. Though three performances in the eight-concert series have already taken place, there are still five upcoming performances.

Our Lady of Fatima is located at 315 Walker Street, Coquitlam.

Saturday, April 2, 7:30 p.m. has violinist Peter Weinkam & Friends.

Sunday, April 17, 7:30 p.m. is a Palm Sunday concert by the Fatima Ecumenical Choir, led by director/conductor Barbara Flannery.

Sunday, May 8, 3 p.m. has Corpus Christi College Chamber Choir, conducted by Tony Araujo.

Saturday, May 14, 7:30 p.m. is an evening of Song featuring Ramona Barillaro-Medeiros and Michael Mikulik.

Saturday, June 11, 7:30 p.m. has the Ablaze! Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Abraham Wong, featuring soprano Ramona Barillaro-Medeiros.
